Audit Senior Manager - Belfast MCS Group are looking for an Audit Senior Manager to join a long standing accountancy practice in Belfast. The Company:
Our client is a well-established accountancy practice with an office in Belfast (HQ) and County Armagh, providing a full range of Accounts, Audit, Tax and Payroll services to a diverse client base across Northern Ireland. They are now looking to appoint an Audit Senior Manager to join their team and take on a key role within the practice, working closely with a varied portfolio of clients across NI.

The Role:

As the successful Audit Senior Manager you will be reporting to the Partner and will be responsible for the following duties:
Manage a varied portfolio of Accounts and Audit clients, overseeing assignments from planning through to completion. Lead and review the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards. Manage external audits, identifying key risks, resolving technical accounting and audit matters, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing commercial and technical advice.

Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members, reviewing their work and providing ongoing technical guidance. Oversee multiple assignments to ensure they are delivered within agreed budgets and deadlines, while maintaining high professional and quality standards.

The Person :
The successful Audit Senior Manager will meet the following criteria: ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with strong experience in Accounts and Audit, ideally gained within a mid-tier accountancy practice. Strong Big 4 candidates will also be considered. Proven experience managing accounts and audit assignments from planning through to completion, with the ability to manage a varied client portfolio. Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102, UK GAAP and UK auditing standards, with experience preparing, reviewing and auditing financial statements.

Previous experience supervising and developing junior team members, with strong communication, organisational and client relationship skills. Commercially aware, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to manage deadlines, budgets and multiple client priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
