About the company

A growing business in the Belfast area are seeking a Management Accountant / Cost Accountant to join their established Group Finance team. This is a broad role with exposure across management accounting, costing, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. There will also be a strong focus on stock, inventory and production costing, alongside the opportunity to improve systems and processes across finance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant looking to join a growing business and play a key role within the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Cost accounting, production costing and variance analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
• Review and analysis of financial and production performance
• Management of stock and inventory systems
• Supporting the implementation and improvement of finance systems and processes
• Supporting annual audit and financial reporting
• VAT and other compliance returns

Requirements:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' relevant finance experience
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Excellent IT and analytical skills
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
