Accounts Technician / PQ Accountant - Belfast MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well established Practice based in Belfast , looking to recruit for an Accounts Technician / PQ Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. The Company: A forward-thinking Belfast-based accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Technician / PQ Accountant to join their team. The role will be more compliance-focused, covering statutory accounts preparation, VAT and tax compliance, with some exposure to management accounts and client interaction.

Job Duties of the Accounts Technician / PQ Accountant Include:
Support a portfolio of clients with day to day accounts and tax compliance. Prepare statutory accounts and assist with management accounts. Assist with personal and corporate tax returns and general tax compliance. Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve queries. Support senior team members with client work and deadlines. Assist with VAT returns and other compliance requirements. Work as part of the team while developing your technical accounting and tax skills.

What You Need to be the Successful Accounts Technician / PQ Accountant? ATI Qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, finalist or QBE with relevant practice experience.

Experience with in a small to mid-tier accountancy practice preferred. Strong background in accounts preparation and compliance, with an interest in developing tax knowledge.

Experience with VAT and personal/corporate tax compliance desirable. Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients. Organised, reliable and keen to develop within a modern, client-focused practice.
