This is a business on a genuinely strong upward trajectory, and this role has been newly created to support it, not a backfill.

The Role This is a genuinely hands-on role for a newly qualified accountant, with direct exposure to the C-suite. Reporting to the COO, you'll take ownership of month-end and year-end close and lead the preparation of board-level reporting. It's a strong fit for someone trained in either practice or industry who wants real technical ownership early in their career, working inside a fast-scaling tech business.

Given the pace of growth, the client is looking to have someone in place as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities Month-End:
Lead the full month-end close process with complete ownership from start to finish Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the business Lead the year-end process and act as primary liaison with external auditors Prepare year-end statutory reporting and supporting schedules Ensure a smooth, well-documented year-end audit process Prepare monthly board reporting packs with clear, meaningful commentary Support variance analysis against budget and forecast for board-level reporting Present financial performance and key metrics in a clear, board-ready format

The Person Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Experience preparing management accounts, ideally end-to-end Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid grip on financial controls Confident reporting to and presenting for senior stakeholders Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment What's On Offer £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience Hybrid working, 2 days per week in Belfast city centre office Immediate start available Exclusive to OCHO For more information on this role, or any other Accountancy and Finance position, please contact Gemma Murphy.
