Accountant, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Accountant / FCO to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate accounts and providing clear financial information to support the management team.

Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day accounting and financial records Preparing monthly management accounts Bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring Managing purchase and sales ledgers Processing and overseeing supplier payments Credit control and monitoring outstanding accounts Preparing VAT returns and supporting other statutory reporting Assisting with budgets, forecasts and financial planning Preparing reports for directors and senior management Liaising with external accountants, auditors and other professional advisers Ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant Improving financial processes and internal controls where required Supporting payroll and other finance-related administration where necessary About You The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience in an Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar role Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge Excellent attention to detail Good organisational and time-management skills Confidence working independently and taking ownership of the finance function Strong Excel and accounting software skills Good communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues, suppliers and customers AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar qualifications would be advantageous, although relevant experience will also be considered
