Accounts Technician

Accounts Technician Derry/L'Derry (Practice Experience Needed) We are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Technician for their team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a friendly team of around 15, offering a varied role across accounts preparation, taxation, audit and client management.

You'll work with a diverse portfolio of clients and play an important role in delivering a high-quality accounting service.

Key Responsibilities Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Prepare and submit corporation tax and personal tax returns Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion Work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors Act as a key point of contact for clients Provide general accounting and business advice to clients Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations Support the wider team with general accounting and practice-based activities Who We're Looking For IATI Qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience Previous experience within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice Strong experience in accounts preparation for companies and sole traders Audit experience would be desirable Good working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, Xero or similar Strong communication and client management skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines What's On Offer Competitive salary 34 days annual leave Flexible and supportive working environment Diverse client exposure across accounts, tax and audit Genuine career progression within a growing practice Friendly team environment If you're an experienced Accounts Technician with practice experience looking for a varied role within a supportive and growing accountancy practice, get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.
