Job Description for Accountant:

As a functional advisor, the accountant is a key member of the finance team who provides financial services and support to a range of budget holders. Key responsibilities will include maintaining accounting records in line with UKNNL policy, supporting forecasting and budgeting, month end duties and regular review and reporting. The accountant reports directly into and deputises for the Senior Accountant.

This Secondment is also a development opportunity and will last for 12 months.

Main Responsibilities for Accountant:

• Providing finance support to project managers.
• Complete financial month end processes.
• Financial Reporting on a monthly basis.
• Providing support on financial weekly reporting.
• Presenting finance information monthly to stakeholders.
• Supporting Senior Accountant with ad hoc queries.
• Development of external financial reports for customers.
• Help cost up customer tenders with Account Directors and Project Managers.

Essential Criteria for Accountant:

• Studier of a financial qualification.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).
