Accounts Assistant Belfast We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant opportunity with a well-established property and estate agency business based in Lisburn Road, Belfast. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary depending on experience. Youll join a small finance team and play a key role in managing the day-to-day finance function across multiple entities, with a strong focus on transaction processing, reconciliations, purchase and sales ledger.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts and payments across multiple entities using
Quick
Books Online. Completing weekly bank reconciliations and clearing unreconciled items promptly. Managing the purchase ledger, including supplier invoices, statement reconciliations and payment runs. Managing the sales ledger, including raising fee invoices, allocating receipts and chasing overdue debt. Maintaining aged creditor and debtor reports and ensuring intercompany balances are accurate. Supporting the lettings and property management teams with rent receipting, landlord statements and contractor payments.
Assisting with client money reconciliations and ensuring client funds remain separate from office funds. Responding to finance queries from colleagues, suppliers and clients while supporting improvements to finance processes and controls.
The Person :
At least 2 years' experience in a finance or bookkeeping role covering purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations. Confident using
Quick
Books Online and Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple entities. Organised, proactive and comfortable communicating with both finance and non-finance colleagues. GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent. Package includes:
