Metro Rod Northern Ireland – East Kilbride

8am-5pm Mon-Fri

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our busy office based in East Kilbride. The role would suit someone who has worked within a busy office environment where a “roll your sleeves up” approach has been a given. You will have the opportunity to liaise daily with internal and external customers, and will be involved in a variety of duties supporting this small but busy office.

What

does it entail?

Working day to day with our Engineers, you will help keep them organised by scheduling work and handling the relevant administration involved. You will work closely with your colleagues and external customers (domestic and commercial) to provide a first‑class service. This role requires someone who is confident in working with engineers (or similar) as well as managing internal and external relationships.

What

do we look for?
  • Proven experience within administration and customer service – ideally within a construction, engineering or similar blue‑collar environment
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Strong administration and IT skills – using Microsoft packages
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to multi‑task
  • Ability to cover some on‑call work (manning the phone between 5pm and 7pm on some weekdays and sporadic weekends)
