VANRATH have partnered with one of Northern Ireland's most established Heavy Vehicle Dealerships. The organisation is recruiting an Parts Controller (with estimating duties) position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any experienced individual to join a longstanding company that offers many routes for progression. The estimating element of the role can be taught, with full training provided, so applicants from a parts or bodyshop background are encouraged to apply.
- Permanent role
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm
- Place of work is Ballyclare

Responsibilities:- Carrying out estimates for vehicle repair accurately and to a good standard of detail (most estimates are opinion based and training will be given)
- Sending estimates to customers in a timely manner, then agreeing and gaining authorisation for repairs
- Providing updates to the team and customer on the current stage of the estimate
- Ordering and checking in parts for vehicle repair
- Allocating parts to the correct job within the Bodyshop
- Producing stock reports and conducting stock checks as required
- Assisting with the preparation of job cards and invoicing as required
- Updating and processing any supplementary requests
- Planning your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales
- Ensuring all tasks follow Health and Safety guidelines, including wearing provided PPE and keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Ad hoc duties as requested by Bodyshop Management
- Demonstrable technical experience of repairs within a Bodyshop environment (light or heavy vehicle) would be highly desirable
- Previous experience of liaising with insurance companies would be desirable
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to represent the business professionally with customers and suppliers
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- A responsible and methodical attitude to work
- A willingness to undertake further development to benefit the role
- Insists on the highest quality of workmanship, and works with safety in mind at all times
- A full driving licence
