The National Account Manager (NAM) NI

Job DescriptionThe National Account Manager (NAM) NI will accelerate business growth with the designated customer base through developing relationships and executing commercial plans across a portfolio. The role will utilise Brand and Trade Marketing teams to build and execute customer business plans, including trade activation plans and promotional calendars, and will collaborate with Business Development for store‑level execution.
Key Responsibilities- Achievement of annual volume, revenue and contribution targets.
- Build and develop strong business relationships across key customers for commercial benefit.
- Accurately maintain customer price files, including list pricing, promotions, retrospectives, and finance accruals.
- Manage JBP and promotional spend with Commercial Finance to ensure optimal return, reviewing and analysing spend.
- Ensure core/more ranges are fully available, and any NPD launched is listed in a prompt manner.
- Maintain timely communication with Field Sales teams on customer developments (new listings, out‑of‑stocks, promotions, range reviews).
- Complete monthly sales forecast on time and accurately by SKU and forecast centre to support Demand Planning.
- Meet regularly with Supply Chain to influence inventory management and customer service levels.
- Work with brand and category Insight managers to grow distribution and sales opportunities.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and opening new distribution opportunities.
- Other tasks as advised by manager.
- Extensive sales and customer management experience in retail or wholesale.
- High commercial awareness.
- Strategic thinker, strong analysis and problem‑solving.
- Creative thinker with ability to innovate and think outside the box.
- FMCG experience essential; experience in food and drink essential.
- Strong planning, organisation and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster close working relationships.
- Resilient self‑starter, result‑driven entrepreneurial streak.
- Strong communicator, proven stakeholder management.
- Passionate about consumer trends and Irish marketplace brands.
- High IT proficiency:
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
