Job Overview

At Kainos we create innovative Workday solutions and products designed to reduce risk and maximize investment for Workday customers. Our new product innovation team will validate markets, design proofs of concept, and launch new AI-enabled products into the Workday ecosystem. The role requires product ownership, roadmap development, market advocacy and cross‑functional coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct market intelligence, understand trends, and define the Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Act as a buyer expert, describing how customers purchase and their buying criteria.
  • Define the product’s value proposition and measurable ROI.
  • Own market segmentation and drive go‑to‑market activities.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap across multiple functions.
  • Discover problems and analyze market needs.
  • Capture and articulate requirements from customers, prospects, and internal teams such as Sales, Presales, Delivery, Value, and Workday SMEs.
  • Define and build solutions addressing market and customer needs.
  • Set pricing for feature add‑ons and new product modules.
  • Launch products and features, organising and enabling delivery, marketing, and onboarding teams.
  • Run beta and early‑adopter programmes with customers and development partners.
  • Measure success and ROI for Kainos and customers.
  • Analyze competitors and refine strategies to maintain a leading market position.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and technology partners.
  • Advocate and champion the new products internally and externally.
  • Develop compelling product messaging and high‑impact marketing campaigns.
  • Equip sales, marketing and customer‑success teams with the knowledge and material to champion products.
  • Advance market knowledge through continuous research and direct engagement with stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior product team members, fostering growth.
Minimum Requirements
  • Prior experience as a SaaS Product Manager in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building, marketing, pricing and launching software products (or comparable experience supporting sales).
  • Experience running beta and early‑adopter programmes with customers or development partners, or architect experience in a Workday implementation or Phase X project.
  • Track record of working closely with business analysts, product‑development leads and architects to advance product features.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion as well as negotiating skills; active listening and the ability to build on others’ viewpoints.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret information, question sources, and challenge assumptions.
  • Ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations.
  • Good understanding of technology, digital services and industry trends.
  • Effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel worldwide to customer and partner locations when required.
Desirable
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, data‑privacy, compliance or document‑management products.
  • Prior work integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems.
  • Workday implementation experience.
People Management
  • Set and review goal alignment for self and team.
  • Support goal achievement and provide continuous feedback.
  • Review performance against goals and conduct 1:1 and project‑completion meetings.
  • Provide write‑ups in Workday and support peer reviews.
  • Conduct end‑of‑year reviews and agree on outcomes.
  • Identify training needs and support career progression.
  • Monitor workload forecasting, utilisation and staffing.
  • Participate in recruitment and interview processes.
  • Track attrition and retention metrics.
