Overview

MCS Group are excited to be partnering with an established customs clearance provider to recruit a Business Development Executive based in Armagh.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious, target-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment and enjoys identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing directly to revenue growth within the customs clearance sector.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective clients and emerging market opportunities within the customs and logistics sector
  • Conduct proactive outbound sales activity, including cold outreach and follow‑up engagement with warm leads
  • Arrange and attend client meetings (virtual and in‑person) to present service offerings and value propositions
  • Develop and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Prepare tailored proposals, commercial presentations, and contractual documentation aligned to client requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and operational teams to ensure alignment of growth strategy and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and sales activity tracking using Hub Spot CRM
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide structured reporting to the Head of Sales
  • Represent the business at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand presence and generate leads
Essential Skills & Criteria
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision‑makers
  • Self‑motivated and target‑oriented, with the discipline to manage workload independently
  • Demonstrated experience in lead generation, cold outreach, and pipeline development
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of market trends and customer drivers
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Hub Spot) and Microsoft Office
  • Professional presence with the confidence to represent the organisation externally
