Job Description This is a new role in our growing Bid and Marketing team. The successful applicant will have a strong bid writing capabilities and be responsible for managing bids across mechanical, electrical, energy and renewables installation and maintenance projects. The job role will include:
Managing the entire bid cycle from review to submission, and through to mobilisation Writing content for public and private sector bids, ensuring they comply with the specification Writing effective, concise and compelling content under strict deadlines Reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary, working with other bid team members and Irwin Subject Matter Experts to gather evidence and craft compelling responses Ensuring all bid submissions are in line with the specification and instructions Preparing content for bid presentations Maintaining and continually improving the companys bid library, including case studies, team member CVs, etc.
in conjunction with marketing colleagues Supporting other bid team members to give them confidence to write and produce materials themselves
Essential Criteria Experience in public sector bid management Experience in public sector bid writing Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines Excellent personal organisation, honesty, communication, ownership, reliability and dependability Excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients Ability to work on own initiative Ability to demonstrate good team ethos Full driving licence IT literate, e.g., proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar Desirable Criteria Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous for the candidate to have:
