Renewable Energy Operational Lead Your new company A leading organisation at the forefront of the energy transition is seeking a Renewable Energy Operational Lead to join its growing team. Your new role As Renewable Energy Operational Lead, you will provide broad operational, project and stakeholder support across the Energy Transition function. Working closely with senior colleagues and key stakeholders, you will help coordinate strategic initiatives, support project delivery and ensure departmental priorities are progressed efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the coordination and delivery of multiple Energy Transition projects and work streams. Maintaining project plans, risk registers, action trackers and supporting documentation to ensure successful delivery against agreed milestones. Preparing project updates, reports, briefing papers and governance materials for internal stakeholders. Monitoring policy, regulatory and market developments, providing clear summaries of key impacts and opportunities. Coordinating contributions from internal teams and external partners to support policy development and strategic initiatives.
Supporting stakeholder engagement activities with industry bodies, partners, customers, government representatives and other external organisations. Organising meetings, preparing agendas, producing briefing packs and managing follow-up actions. Coordinating the delivery of workshops, events, stakeholder sessions and industry briefings. Managing event logistics, including invitations, scheduling, venue arrangements, supplier engagement and post-event activities. Supporting the production of high-quality presentations, communications materials and stakeholder documentation.
Assisting with budget monitoring, purchase orders, invoice processing and expenditure tracking. Preparing management reports, dashboards and performance updates to support effective decision-making. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting tools and ways of working across the team. Building knowledge of the evolving energy sector and supporting the organisation's wider net zero and decarbonisation objectives. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement and operational support experience, together with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
You will ideally possess:
Experience providing operational, administrative or project coordination support across multiple work streams. Previous experience preparing reports, briefing papers, management information, meeting minutes and presentation materials. Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, stakeholder groups or engagement activities. Experience supporting budget monitoring, financial administration, invoice processing or procurement activity. Experience organising events, briefings, conferences or stakeholder engagement sessions. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce clear, professional documentation. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, trackers and reporting information. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Good commercial awareness and an understanding of budget management and reporting processes. A proactive, adaptable and self-motivated approach to work.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Desirable experience includes: A degree or professional qualification in business, project management, communications, sustainability, energy or a related discipline.
