Summary:

** This is 2 Full Time, Permanent Positions    An exciting opportunity has arisen within Streetscene Services for two highly motivated and conscientious Systems Process and Scheduling Officers in the Business Improvement Team.
This key role will be working within a small, forward-thinking team, contributing to improvement projects, performance management, data analysis (including visual presentation of data, dashboards, and reports), and ensuring local operational systems, software and processes are developed and maintained in collaboration with a variety of staff across Streetscene and other stakeholders.
You will be able to identify solutions to complex tasks that require analysis, evaluation, and a degree of judgement with an evidence-based approach. An ability to understand operational processes and how these can be improved with the use of technology is essential, as is the ability to support operational staffing teams through change of process.

Experience of key operational software systems administration is required, with software such as Confirm, Bartec, Route Smart as well as others, in use across the department. You will also have extensive experience using the Microsoft suite of apps, including Power apps.
You will be a well organised team player, self-motivated to work independently when required, and an excellent communicator who is able to form positive and professional relationships.
ROLE AND PURPOSE    The role sits within the Business Improvement Team of Streetscene Services. Its key purpose is to affect management control of all services through risk and performance management; to maintain and develop efficient processes through the support and development of Streetscene’s fundamental operational systems and via its Business Improvement Programme drive change that ensures ongoing development of the service, improving performance whilst considering the customer journey.
This is a key role that will ensure the progression of Street scenes Business Improvement Programme and the compliance with agreed and invested systems within Streetscene and the wider Council and be fundamental to the development of systems and their use to improve decision making and future service provision.
Given that Streetscene is a dynamic, multifunctional service that operates against a background of limited resources the post will adapt to the changing and challenging landscape of this front line service.
** PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

** 1. To promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
2. Investigate and report compliance across all Streetscene Teams of adherence to standard working practices of local operational systems to ensure consistency of use to inform service decision making, reporting and development.
3. Represent, as directed, Streetscene at System User Groups, Stakeholder Groups and Corporate Meetings in line with terms of reference for those meetings.
4. Lead on-site briefings / training (that includes quality management and ‘Lean’ principles) to users of Streetscene’s local operational systems in line with guidance, Record and report such training to inform inclusion in Learning Plans.
5. Undertake, and analyse and report to senior colleagues the outcomes of periodic reviews of data and assets held in Streetscene’s operational systems to inform maintenance of data and the accurate recording of assets that informs allocation of resources.
6. Provide day to day support to users of Streetscene’s operational systems to ensure that staff are working to standard working practices; highlighting and resolving any training needs
