Role SummaryThe Group Training & Development Manager will champion the value of deep technical understanding across W , using extensive expertise, passion and experience to strengthen knowledge, accuracy and confidence throughout the organisation. This role leads the design and delivery of high‑quality staff development most notably through the W Academy ensuring our people fully understand high value client outcomes that underpin our work, services and regulatory environment.
Acting as an ambassador for technical excellence, the post‑holder ensures every development intervention reinforces our core principle: the client and their journey sit at the heart of everything we do. They will embed rigorous standards of accuracy, nurture strong product and process knowledge, and equip colleagues to deliver clear, reliable and client‑centred service. Through credible technical leadership, practical development pathways and a focus on real‑world application, this role plays a critical part in elevating capability across W , enhancing the career progression of all staff they engage with, and protecting the quality and reputation of our proposition.
The role may also require the holder to prepare, or support in preparing, external literature, case studies, PR materials and sales‑support collateral. Regular travel to all W offices will be required.
- Extensive and proven experience of SSAS administration, technical detail and how SSAS benefits business owners.
- Confident delivery of training sessions, both on a 121, small groups and larger groups basis.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Good industry network and awareness of legislation changes. Detailed understanding of pensions rules.
