We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Insight Manager to join our team in Haydock.

Reporting to the Head of Insight, you'll play a key leadership role within the Insight function, turning complex market, customer, operational and commercial information into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making across the business.

This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Finance and Sales, helping Speedy anticipate market changes, understand future demand and make informed decisions around growth, investment and capital allocation.

You’ll also act as deputy to the Head of Insight where required and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the Insight function, alongside managing and developing our Insights Data Analyst.

As our Senior Insight Manager, you will:

• Deputise for the Head of Insight and represent the Insight function at senior leadership forums when required.
• Lead strategic insight projects supporting commercial strategy, business transformation, growth opportunities and capital allocation.
• Translate market, customer, competitor and operational trends into clear, commercially focused recommendations.
• Turn complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and practical business solutions.
• Influence strategic priorities through evidence-based insight, scenario analysis and forward-looking recommendations.
• Support investment and divestment decisions through market, customer and commercial analysis.
• Contribute to strategic planning, annual planning and long-range forecasting.
• Lead the development of market and sector intelligence frameworks to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Monitor economic, regulatory, competitor and sector trends to provide early warning indicators to the business.
• Support market foresight across one-to-five-year planning horizons.
• Lead scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and commercial impact assessments.
• Support fleet composition, utilisation and asset lifecycle decisions through insight and demand forecasting.
• Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations teams to support effective capital allocation.
• Develop robust analysis and evidence for Executive and Investment Committee business cases.
• Manage the day-to-day priorities and workload of the Insight function.
• Drive continuous improvement across analytical methods, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Line manage, coach and develop the Insights Data Analyst.
• Review and quality assure analysis, reporting and recommendations produced by the team.
• Translate complex analysis into concise, decision-ready narratives for senior leaders.
• Support the preparation of Board, Executive and Investment Committee papers.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide constructive, evidence-based challenge where appropriate.
• Work with data, technology and business teams to improve data accessibility and analytical capability across the organisation.

You'll be an experienced insight, analytics or commercial intelligence professional who is comfortable operating at a senior level and translating complex information into clear business recommendations.
