The Job Role

This is a full-time role based in our main office on Arrowhead Road, Theale, which is walking distance from Theale train station and has good transport links by bus and road.

The role gives you a broad understanding of Westcoast's objectives, services and operations, and extensive contact with colleagues, customers and vendors across a busy distribution business.

You will begin with a supported workload and take on more as your confidence grows. No previous administrative experience is needed. Training is provided in the workplace and through your Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, and you will have a named mentor throughout.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

As a Sales Support Administrator Apprentice, you will be at the heart of our operations helping sales orders run smoothly, supporting account profitability, and working with the team to deliver a service our customers value.

• Processing sales orders accurately across UK and international markets
• Managing orders efficiently to help maintain service levels
• Working within an agreed pricing tolerance, using your judgement where a variation would affect margin, and escalating anything beyond that tolerance
• Keeping up to date with our latest products, services and systems
• Liaising with vendors to obtain product, pricing and availability information for customers
• Supporting customer management, working to agreed SLAs and KPIs, and understanding how your accuracy affects the team's performance against them

As you grow in confidence you will develop the skills to:

• Take ownership of a defined set of customers or order types
• Handle non-routine order issues from start to finish
• Complete scoping, planning and reporting on a workplace improvement project, with a manager as sponsor
• Take part in customer reviews and gathering customer feedback
• Work with the wider order-to-cash process, including how orders lead to invoicing
• Support or buddy a new starter

• Basic confidence with Microsoft Word, Excel and email - training will take you further
