Job Description

To spend time within the International Operations Department and develop a good understanding of the International Analyst team and where/how data can support the wider department, whilst gaining insight into the skills/software required to successfully provide the required analysis & working towards completing an Apprentice Qualification

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Provide cross-functional support to the International Analyst Team

Participate in specific projects, working in groups and other duties required to drive and enhance the International Operations Department

Understand how the International Analyst Team supports the IOD and perform team-specific tasks

Assist, when requested and deemed necessary, with presentations to International clients, SMT and internal departments, and attend any meetings when required to provide international knowledge

Gain knowledge of the various systems & languages used by the International Analyst team

Support key initiatives within the International Analyst Team and wider department

Support with daily and weekly reporting across the team

Complete any other duties as specified by the International Analyst Manager

Undertake and complete an Apprentice qualification aligned with the analyst apprentice role

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders

Ability to work autonomously and also collaboratively

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Strong organisational skills

Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills

Minimum of 3 GCSEs at L4 or above, which must include numeracy and literacy

Qualifications

The Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship runs over a duration of 18 months and includes 6 hours per week of dedicated off-the-job training. Core modules covered throughout the program include:

Data and AI Landscape

Working with Databases

Python for Data Insights

AI-Augmented BI Solutions

Predicting Trends with Data

Applied AI and Machine Learning

Ethical and Sustainable AI

Agile Data and AI Projects

Delivering High-Value Products

Apprentices learn to translate business requirements into actionable data models and AI-driven solutions, aligning technical outputs with strategic goals to drive operational efficiency and deliver measurable impact.

Additional Information

What we’re looking for;

  • Passionate and interested in Sustainability and Corporate, Social, Responsibility (CSR)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Constant and curious learner with a desire to continuously develop their skills set and knowledge base
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (GMail/GSheet) or Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel primarily)
  • Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • High attention to detail to produce accurate and quality work
  • Willing to travel to alternative DPD locations and external events on an adhoc basis where required
  • An individual who has the ability to welcome and adapt to change, within a forward thinking business.
