Finance Transformation Project Manager

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with our client, a large, multi-site organisation undergoing a significant period of transformation and growth. As part of an ambitious finance transformation programme, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Transformation Programme Manager to lead a high-profile change initiative focused on modernising finance operations, systems, and is a business-critical role offering the opportunity to shape the future of the finance function through technology, automation, process improvement, and organisational change.

The programme will include the implementation of a new ERP finance solution and the redesign of finance operating models across the organisation. Your new role Leading the delivery of a large-scale finance transformation programme across multiple business areas. Driving the procurement, implementation, and adoption of a new ERP finance system. Managing up to 10 concurrent work streams, ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned to business objectives.

Designing and implementing improved finance processes, controls, and ways of working. Identifying opportunities to leverage automation, workflow technology, and emerging AI capabilities. Establishing programme governance frameworks, risk management processes, and benefits tracking. Leading stakeholder engagement across senior leadership teams, operational managers, technical teams, and external suppliers. Managing third-party implementation partners and ensuring delivery against agreed milestones. Developing and delivering change management, communication, and training strategies to maximise user adoption.

Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and driving sustainable change across the organisation What you'll need to succeed A degree qualification or significant equivalent experience delivering finance, systems, or business transformation programmes. Proven success leading organisation-wide transformation programmes involving multiple stakeholder groups. Strong experience delivering ERP or finance systems implementations. Experience managing large-scale change programmes with multiple work streams and competing priorities.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. The ability to work independently, challenge constructively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Experience applying automation, workflow tools, or AI-enabled solutions within finance environments would be highly desirable.
