Business Analyst

MCS Group is looking for a hands‑on Business Analyst to support a payroll system implementation, focusing on testing, operational processes and preparing the service to go live. This Business Analyst position will suit someone who can look beyond traditional business analysis, challenge processes from a user perspective and translate project outputs into practical steps that make the service operational.

• Analyse how the new system and agreed solution will impact day-to-day payroll operations.
• Map end-to-end processes, including responsibilities, hand-offs, controls and exception handling.
• Work with testing teams and payroll specialists to ensure real-world operational scenarios are covered.
• Review test results, identify process gaps and assess the operational impact of defects, issues and workarounds.
• Track risks, dependencies, outstanding decisions and actions through to resolution.
• Support service readiness, including procedures, training materials, documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Help prepare the business for go-live, cut-over and the transition into business‑as‑usual operations.
• Challenge unclear processes and identify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce manual effort.

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst with experience in service implementation/readiness.
• Strong process mapping, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working across business, operational and technical teams.
• Able to work at pace, ask the right questions and turn findings into actionable outcomes.
• Oracle Fusion and payroll experience are advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of automation, AI or Payroll-as-a-Service would be beneficial.
