The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients and due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner to join the team in our Belfast Office.
The successful candidate
will form an important part of the planning department, establishing and maintaining effective project planning and programming systems for all marine interior fit‑out projects. This will include recording and reporting on the progress of works and resource planning.
- In conjunction with the project team prepare comprehensive planning information on new project start ups, including the sequence of operations and dependencies, resource and procurement requirements.
- Update current project programmes and plans with site feedback on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
- Advise project team of critical changes to priorities and critical threats.
- Control and record programme revisions.
- Assist in identifying techniques to improve estimating, planning and cost control on existing and future projects.
- Assist to develop various programmes from tenders, procurement, installation, commissioning to as built.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by Management commensurate with the role.
- At least 3 years experience working as a planner in a Company’s planning department, preferably with fit‑out project experience
- Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Excel and Project
- Demonstrable planning, analytical and problem‑solving skills
The appointed candidate must be prepared to undertake travel as part of the role and have the right to work and live in the UK
