As an Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high quality projects, working as a valued member of the H&J Martin Construction team. You'll collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, building strong relationships and playing a key role in pushing projects forward through accurate engineering, clear communication and a proactive approach. Working within a small team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and develop skills and experience to enhance your career.

• Assist in planning, supervising and inspecting temporary works, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Accurately interpreting construction drawings and specifications and taking ownership in the implementation of Engineering Controls.
• Implement and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, monitoring and recording health and safety activities as required.
• Contribute to preparation and organisation of the programme for work, including resource allocation, permits, risk assessments and method statements.
• Liaise with clients, internal departments, subcontractors and other key stakeholders to ensure the project develops in line with plans and time‑frames, with no compromise in quality and delivery.
• Manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring written and verbal communication or instructions are clear and understood.

• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

• Foundation degree level or higher, in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Confident in the use of IT, including construction related software such as AutoCAD.
• Proficient in the use of relevant surveying and setting out equipment.
• Full driving licence, that permits driving in the UK / Ireland.

• CSR / CSCS Qualification or equivalent.
• Qualified First Aider.
• Qualified or working towards temporary works co‑ordinator.
• Qualified or working towards Appointed Person qualification.
