Senior / Intermediate Building Surveyor - Multidisciplinary Consultancy - Belfast
Your new company: HAYS Property & Surveying NI is collaborating with a progressive multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering high-quality building consultancy and project delivery services across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public-sector developments. The client has significant exposure to private-sector and commercial projects, including new-build, refurbishment and regeneration works across multiple sectors.
- Support and deliver a broad range of building surveying services across a varied portfolio of construction projects, from early feasibility and surveys through to contract administration and completion.
- Undertake condition and defect surveys, prepare technical reports and specifications, and administer building contracts.
- Liaise closely with clients, design teams and contractors to ensure project delivery aligns with relevant standards.
- Take full responsibility for your own projects depending on experience, or work with senior colleagues on more complex schemes.
- Receive structured support with a clear pathway for progression to senior-level responsibilities.
- Experience as a Building Surveyor within the construction or built-environment sector, ideally in a consultancy environment; candidates from related backgrounds will be considered.
- Strong understanding of building surveying services, including surveys, technical reporting, specifications, and contract administration.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, consultants and contractors.
- RICS APC registered, or actively working toward completion of the APC, with chartership (MRICS) either achieved or a clear plan to achieve it. APC support and professional development are offered by the organisation.
