Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Quantity Surveyor
Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality cost consultancy across major projects, many exceeding £200m in value. Working across sectors such as Education, Healthcare and Infrastructure, you will provide expert advice on capital and whole-life costs while supporting sustainable, low‑carbon outcomes. Based in Belfast, you will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage planning through to successful completion, working alongside experienced professionals and senior leadership.

You will lead and support the commercial delivery of complex projects, ensuring robust cost control, risk management and value optimisation. By collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape practical, innovative solutions. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior colleagues and strengthening client relationships through professional, service‑focused delivery.
- Deliver accurate cost planning, budgeting and forecasting across project stages. Manage change, risk and procurement with confidence and precision.
- Apply strong knowledge of NEC, JCT and bespoke D&B contracts. Ensure compliance and effective contract administration throughout delivery.
- Build trusted relationships through clear communication and technical credibility. Represent projects professionally, promoting confidence at all levels.
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary and virtual teams. Support, guide and motivate junior team members.
- Provide practical solutions to complex commercial challenges. Use strong analytical, negotiation and IT skills to drive outcomes.
Degree‑qualified in Quantity Surveying (or similar), you will ideally be working towards or hold RICS membership. You bring experience across pre‑ and post‑contract cost management, with strong commercial awareness and communication skills. Sector experience in Education or Healthcare is beneficial but not essential.
Working ArrangementsThis role is based in Belfast with a hybrid working model. You can expect a mix of office, home and project‑based work, typically 2–3 days in the office. Flexible working arrangements are supported to promote balance and productivity.
