An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost Manager to join a leading construction and cost consultancy in Belfast. This is a key role within a growing team, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Northern Ireland and the wider island of Ireland.
You will take a lead role in the commercial management of projects, working closely with clients, project teams and senior leadership. The role offers excellent exposure across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, infrastructure, public sector, regeneration and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the cost management of projects from pre-contract through to completion
Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and tender documentation
Provide procurement advice and undertake tender analysis
Manage valuations, change control, cost reporting and risk
Lead final account negotiations and commercial management
Provide expert cost and commercial advice to clients
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Support business development and the growth of existing client relationships
Provide leadership, guidance and support to junior team members
About You
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS preferred, although candidates working towards chartership will be considered
Strong pre and post-contract experience
Experience with in a consultancy environment
Good knowledge of JCT, NEC or similar construction contracts
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
Confident working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
CostX experience would be advantageous
