One of Northern Ireland's leading Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractors is seeking a Junior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its growing delivery team. With over 40 years of experience, the company provides design, installation and commissioning services across a diverse portfolio of projects within the healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work secured across Northern Ireland and GB, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious mechanical professional looking to progress their career within a well-established and progressive contractor.
Your new role
As Junior Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will support the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion. This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor, Foreman, Site Manager or Site Engineer looking to move into Contracts Management.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the management of mechanical projects across multiple sites
Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Supporting procurement activities and project programmes
Monitoring project progress, costs, quality and health & safety standards
Attending site meetings and carrying out regular site visits
Assisting with project reporting and commercial tracking
Supporting the resolution of technical and site-related issues
Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
What you'll need to succeed
HVAC trades background or HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
Experience in a mechanical supervisory, site management or site foreman role
Good understanding of mechanical building services installations and project delivery
Ability to coordinate operatives, subcontractors and site activities
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence
