A leading Chartered Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Consultancy practices, with a long-established reputation for delivering expert commercial advice and exceptional client service across a diverse range of sectors, has a new requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Working within a dedicated and dynamic cost team this is an exciting opportunity to work directly with repeat clients and project teams on a range of sectors.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties including:
- Preparation of cost estimates and cost plans.
- Procurement advice, preparation of tender documentation (including Bills of Quantities).
- Tender analysis and recommendation reporting.
- Contract administration and commercial management.
- Valuations and payment assessments.
- Change control and cost reporting.
- Risk management and value engineering.
- Final account negotiation and agreement.
- Stakeholder engagement and client liaison.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality consultancy services across multiple projects and
sectors.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and the development of long-term client
relationships.
About You
- Degree qualified.
- MRICS preferred, but not essential. Other professional qualifications or memberships
desirable. .
- Pre and post contract experience.
- Experience of working under construction contract terms and conditions, preferably JCT,
- NEC or similar.
- Previous experience working within a consultancy environment strongly desirable.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- A strategic thinker with broad problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a client focused environment with a personal commitment to the
delivery of excellent client service.
