Site Engineer Projects

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Site Engineer for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects, providing technical support, setting out expertise and ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out and levelling of works in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements. Review and coordinate technical drawings, ensuring effective integration between design teams, subcontractors and site operations. Monitor quality control, inspections and testing of works and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications. Support the delivery of projects in line with construction programmes, ensuring works progress efficiently and safely.

Carry out checks before and after concrete pours and other key construction activities. Provide technical guidance to subcontractors, resolving issues and supporting day-to-day site operations. Maintain accurate site records, documentation and project information. Support health, safety, quality and environmental standards in line with company procedures. Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and the ongoing development of a positive safety culture.

Build strong working relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors and wider stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the construction industry. Experience working on large-scale construction projects within a main contractor environment. Strong knowledge of setting out, construction methods and technical coordination. Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors on complex projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages. Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND/Degree).

CSR, CSCS or Safe Pass card required. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects across the UK and Ireland. Desirable:

Experience with Temporary Works Coordination. SSSTS/SMSTS qualification. First Aid at Work certification. Professional membership with CIOB, ICE or equivalent.
