Quantity Surveyor Fit-Out

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of fit-out projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial delivery of fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion. Take responsibility for project costs, ensuring works are delivered within budget and in line with commercial objectives. Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts. Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, payments and commercial performance. Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial risks and opportunities. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and wider project teams to ensure effective cost control.

Monitor project progress, budgets and contractual requirements, providing regular reporting to senior management. Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders. Support tender submissions and pre-construction activities as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or fit-out sector. Experience managing commercial aspects of fit-out, refurbishment or interiors projects. Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration and procurement processes.

Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts. Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills. Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent). CSR/CSCS card required. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects as required.
