We are currently seeking an individual who has great communication skills and enjoys interacting with the public, to join our team as a Civil Enforcement Officer. Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council was the first Local Authority in Wales to introduce decimalised parking and our team is committed to keeping our streets safe and ensuring traffic flows smoothly.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for advising on and enforcing the Authority’s traffic orders.
Your daily routine will be;
- Patrolling public streets and council car parks
- Advising on and ensuring consistent application of traffic orders.
- Responding to enquiries and providing advice to members of the public.
- Issuing Penalty Charge Notices’ using available or computerised systems
- Ensuring that parking signs, road markings and notices are in good condition.
The wage for this role is £25,583 - £27,254 per annum plus weekend enhancement and a market pay supplement of £2000 per annum, which is reviewed on a biannual basis.
