Multi-Skilled Builder​/Tradesperson

Full-time | Permanent | Competitive rate of pay, depending on experience

Aquaforce 2009 Ltd is a busy and established local building contractor with an ongoing programme of domestic and commercial projects across Northern Ireland.

Due to continued growth and increasing workload, we are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Builder / Tradesperson to join our team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a good background in construction who has experience across a number of different site trades and enjoys a varied working environment.

We are not looking for someone who necessarily specialises in one particular trade . We are looking for a practical, reliable and capable person who can turn their hand to a variety of jobs and help keep our projects moving.

The type of work may include:

• General building and construction work
• Bricklaying and blockwork
• Demolition and strip-out work
• Plastering and patch plastering
• Dry lining and boarding
• Concrete and screeding work
• Basic plumbing and associated works
• Tiling
• Roofing and general repairs
• Groundworks and external works
• Carpentry and general joinery
• General snagging and finishing works
• Assisting other trades when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

You do not need to be an expert in all of the above . We are looking for someone who has a good range of practical construction skills and is confident taking on different types of work.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in the construction industry
• Good practical knowledge of general building work
• Experience in several construction trades
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• A good standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Good reliability and timekeeping
• The ability to work as part of a team
• A strong understanding of health and safety on construction sites
• A full driving licence would be advantageous

Formal qualifications are welcome but practical experience and a good range of skills are more important for this position.
