Based in Belfast, the business is a medium-sized company with a collaborative team of experienced construction professionals. Reporting directly to the Senior Estimator, you'll join a reputable organisation with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your experience and progress within the business. About you Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and pricing Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software Excellent organisational, negotiation and communication skills Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders effectively What you'll do Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of construction projects Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements to determine scope Gather and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Measure quantities and prepare bills of quantities when required Identify project risks and propose value engineering solutions Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process Monitor market conditions to ensure competitive pricing and maintain up-to-date cost databases Support contract handovers following successful bids and contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
