Your New Role As a Quantity Surveyor you will become an integral member of the cost management team, supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception through to position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across multiple sectors, providing valuable experience and exposure to different types of construction and development schemes.

Depending on your level of experience, you will be given the autonomy and responsibility to manage projects independently while receiving support from senior colleagues and directors when required. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility reports. Carrying out cost planning and advising clients on financial aspects of projects. Managing procurement processes and preparing tender documentation. Conducting tender analysis and advising on contractor appointments. Preparing bills of quantities and contract documentation. Monitoring project expenditure and providing regular cost reporting. Valuing completed works and managing interim payment applications. Assessing variations and managing change control procedures.

Supporting contract administration duties where required. Undertaking final account negotiations and settlement. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Assisting in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the consultancy. This is a full-time position based in Belfast with a flexible hybrid working arrangement, typically involving two days per week in the office.

What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this role, you should possess: A BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline. Previous experience working within a consultancy or contractor environment. Strong knowledge of construction costs, procurement, and contract administration.

Experience producing cost plans, tender documentation, and financial reports. Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work. Proficiency in relevant industry software and Microsoft Office applications. MRICS chartership is desirable but not essential. The company is open to considering candidates who are currently working towards chartership and can provide support with professional development and APC progression where are welcomed from Quantity Surveyors at intermediate, senior, or associate-track level who are looking to progress their career within an ambitious and growing consultancy.
