Pre-Construction Manager​/Estimating Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Pre-Construction Manager for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK and Ireland. This role would suit an experienced Estimating Manager, Senior Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager looking to take the next step in leading a growing estimating function and shaping bid strategy across high-value projects.

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the estimating team. Develop bid win strategies and programmes with senior management. Oversee tenders from initial opportunity through to award and handover. Review tender documentation and identify key risks and opportunities. Lead internal and external tender meetings. Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market conditions. Support new business development and client relationships. Mentor and develop the estimating team.

Requirements Strong estimating experience within construction, ideally fit-out/refurbishment. Previous experience managing or leading an estimating team. Experience delivering projects up to £30m. Understanding of single-stage, two-stage and negotiated tenders.

Experience with estimating software. Strong commercial, communication and organisational skills. Relevant Estimating, Quantity Surveying or construction qualification. RICS/CIOB/A.
