VANRATH are recruiting a Mechanical Site Supervisor to work for a leading M&E Contractor, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000 + DOE + car / allowance / package

Leading M&E Contractor that have been operating for decades, providing M&E services across the UK and Ireland. The business has a great reputation for delivering quality projects on time, on budget, safely and to first class standards. They work across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, health, education, leisure and residential.

The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth and expansion, the business has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis. Many projects are located in Northern Ireland, however, sometimes projects are in ROI or GB so the successful person will need to be willing to travel when required.

• Delivering projects on time and within budget
• Responsible for the control of labour and their coordination with other trades on-site
• Procurement of general day-to-day materials
• Procurement and management of hire equipment on-site
• Ensure all installations are of the highest quality
• Ensuring the installation complies with the latest relevant regulations
• Meeting with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors regularly
• Preparation of short-term lookahead programmes and inputting into the overall master programme
• Provide regular reports on progress and performance to the Contracts Manager
• Carry out site based Health, Safety and Quality inspections

• Must have a plumbing / heating trade background
• Demonstrable Health and safety knowledge
• PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Show care and attention to detail in all areas of installation
• Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist
• Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment
