What you will be doing

We are looking for an Assistant Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing Health & Safety Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills, gain hands‑on experience and work towards becoming a qualified Health & Safety Advisor.

You don’t need previous Health & Safety experience to apply. We will provide full training and support, making this an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of, or looking to start, their health & safety career.

Working alongside experienced Health & Safety professionals across a variety of construction & civil engineering projects, you will gain valuable practical experience while helping us maintain and continually improve our strong Health & Safety culture.

What you’ll be doing

As an Assistant Health & Safety Advisor, you will work closely with our Health & Safety Team and operational teams to:

  • Support H&S Advisors in promoting high standards of Health & Safety across our projects and wider business.
  • Provide practical Health & Safety support to teams at all levels of the organisation.
  • Assist with Health & Safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
  • Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety initiatives and campaigns.
  • Develop your knowledge and experience through on‑the‑job learning and working alongside experienced H&S professionals.
  • Work towards relevant Health & Safety qualifications as part of your professional development.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and committed to developing a career in Health & Safety.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in Health & Safety and a desire to develop a career within the profession.
  • An interest in working within the construction industry and promoting high Health & Safety standards.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using technology.
  • A positive, proactive and hardworking approach.
  • The willingness to learn, develop new skills and undertake relevant professional qualifications.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work with people at all levels.
