Project Delivery Manager

Location:

Belfast Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum A well-established third-generation family business with almost 100 years of experience in the heating, flue, chimney and associated building services industries is continuing to grow and is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager - Project Delivery. This is a hands-on project delivery role, with the main focus being on making sure projects are delivered on time, to the required standard and with the right people and resources in place.

You will take ownership of allocated projects and be responsible for coordinating installation teams, contractors, materials, suppliers and site activities from order through to completion. A key part of the role will be taking control of installation teams, delegating effectively and making sure everyone knows what needs to be done and when. You will be the person driving projects forward, identifying issues early and making sure they are resolved before they impact the programme.

The Role Take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of allocated projects Develop and maintain project delivery schedules Take control of installation teams and coordinate daily activities Delegate work effectively and ensure teams are clear on priorities Monitor progress against programme and ensure projects remain on schedule Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors Make sure installation teams have everything required to complete their work Identify potential delays and issues early and take ownership of resolving them Coordinate installation and commissioning activities Attend sites and project meetings where required Liaise with main contractors, site managers and other trades Coordinate site deliveries and installation dates Ensure drawings, specifications and relevant information are available to site teams Deal with practical issues arising during installation Monitor the quality and progress of installation work Ensure completed works meet the required specification Keep customers and contractors updated on project progress Work closely with purchasing, warehouse and logistics to ensure materials are available when required Track outstanding actions and make sure they are followed through to completion Provide regular project updates to senior management Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the required standard About You We're looking for someone who is confident managing people, comfortable making decisions and isn't afraid to take control of a project.

You could come from a project management, construction, engineering, mechanical services, installation or similar background. Most importantly, you will be someone who:
Can confidently lead and delegate to installation teams Is organised and able to manage multiple projects Has a strong focus on deadlines and programme Takes ownership when things don't go to plan Is practical and solutions focused Communicates clearly with site teams, customers and contractors Can prioritise workloads and resources effectively Is comfortable challenging delays or poor performance Can make decisions and keep projects moving Has strong attention to detail Works well under pressure Takes pride in getting projects over the line This is a delivery-focused role.

When a project is handed over to you, the expectation is that you take ownership and make sure it happens - from organising materials and labour through to managing installation teams, resolving issues and ensuring the project is completed on time. Experience Essential:
Previous experience in project management, project coordination or a similar delivery-focused role

Experience with in construction, engineering, mechanical services, installation or a related environment Experience coordinating people and installation activities Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Full UK driving licence Occasional UK & Ireland travel will be required depending on project requirements.
