Position: Project Assistant (Fleadh Fringe)

THE EMPLOYER IS: NORD EVENTSNord Events provides logistics and management for major events. We are seeking a Project Assistant to support the Fleadh Fringe. This role focuses on Artist Liaison and Production Administration. You will help the Programme Manager ensure that every artist and performer has what they need for their show.

You will learn the process of "Advancing" (collecting technical and logistical details from artists) and gain an IOSH Working Safely qualification. This role is a fantastic entry point for anyone interested in the music business, arts administration, or festival production.

Nord Events is a growing events company based in Belfast, with opportunities to gain insight into event operations across Ireland. This role will provide valuable experience in administration, communication, and digital coordination within a fast-paced creative industry.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a point of contact for artists, collecting necessary documentation (Technical Riders, Insurance, Invoices).
  • File and organise artist contracts using Google Workspace.
  • Update project trackers on  to ensure the project is on schedule.
  • Assist the Programme Manager with scheduling and itinerary planning.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols (IOSH Working Safely) regarding venue and stage safety.
  • Support the on-site team with artist check-ins during the event.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with artists and agents.
  • Computer literacy and ability to keep digital files organised.
  • Enthusiasm for arts, culture, or music events.
  • Willingness to complete formal training (IOSH Working Safely).
  • Previous experience in an arts, theatre, or music environment (even voluntary).
  • Knowledge of technical production (sound/lighting) terms is a bonus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace.
