ROLEPURPOSE
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and producing high-quality visual assets for a major event across a wide range of digital, print, advertising, and on-site formats.
Working from an established core creative concept and event look and feel, the role will adapt, develop, and apply the visual identity consistently across all event communications and materials. This will include social media graphics, digital content, invitations, press advertisements, presentations, signage, wristbands, badges, programmes, and other event collateral.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Communications team, the Content Production Manager, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure that all creative assets are visually engaging, accurate and delivered on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Create and produce event artwork across a broad range of channels and formats, including social media, websites, email, digital advertising, press advertisements, invitations, presentations, signage, wristbands, badges, programmes, and other event materials.
- Prepare artwork for digital and print production, ensuring files meet the required technical specifications, dimensions, resolution, colour profiles, and supplier requirements.
- Work closely with the Communications team and Content Production Manager to manage priorities, deadlines, feedback, and approval processes.
- Manage amends accurately and efficiently, maintaining strong version control and ensuring approved changes are consistently reflected across related materials.
- Review and proof artwork carefully to ensure accuracy, visual consistency, accessibility, and alignment with brand and event guidelines.
- Organise and maintain design files, templates, imagery, fonts, and final artwork so that assets can be easily accessed and reused by relevant teams.
- Contribute creative ideas that strengthen the event experience and improve the effectiveness of communications, while working within the established visual identity.
- Support the wider Communications team with additional design requirements where capacity allows.
- Significant experience working as a graphic designer within an in-house team, agency, studio, events environment, or similar setting.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design and artwork production across digital and print formats.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, colour, imagery, and visual storytelling.
- Experience creating digital and social media assets across different platforms, dimensions, and formats.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies, errors, and technical issues.
- Ability to manage a high volume of design requests, competing priorities, and fast-moving deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong organisational skills, including file management, version control, naming conventions, and asset tracking.
- Takes ownership and accountability for the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of design work.
- Works collaboratively and constructively with colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers, building positive and trusted working relationships.
- Responds positively to feedback and manages design amends professionally and efficiently.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a clear understanding of pace, priorities, and deadlines.
- Uses sound judgement and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve creative or production challenges.
- Acts with integrity, respect, and discretion when working with sensitive information, confidential materials, and stakeholder content.

This is a fixed-term role running from November 2026 to March 2027.
