Project Assistant (Fleadh Cheoil Campsite)

THE EMPLOYER IS: NORD EVENTSNord Events provides logistics and management for major events. We are seeking a Project Assistant to support the delivery of the Fleadh Cheoil Campsite. This role is focused on Logistics and Customer Support. You will be the link between the event management team, our contractors, and the public.

This is a fast-paced role where you will learn how to manage high-volume customer queries and coordinate suppliers. You will also gain an IOSH Working Safely qualification. This position is ideal for someone interested in hospitality management, logistics, or customer relations.

Nord Events is a growing events company based in Belfast, with opportunities to gain insight into event operations across Ireland. This role will provide valuable experience in administration, communication, and digital coordination within a fast-paced creative industry.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the public email inbox, using templates to answer FAQs and resolve customer queries professionally.
  • Assist with contractor liaison, helping to coordinate suppliers (e.g showers, toilets, fencing) for the campsite.
  • Update project trackers on  to ensure the project is on schedule.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols (IOSH Working Safely) specific to campsite management.
  • Maintain accurate booking records and assist with check-in data preparation.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent written communication skills (for email support).
  • Ability to remain calm and helpful when dealing with customer queries.
  • Basic spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets/Excel) for managing booking data.
  • Willingness to complete formal training (IOSH Working Safely).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, call centre).
  • Interest in outdoor events or logistics.
  • Familiarity with ticketing or booking systems
  • Reliability and good timekeeping.
