Role OverviewAs a Planner, you will deliver planning projects from initial site appraisal through to planning application submission, negotiation, and determination. You will manage your own projects while supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex developments, helping clients navigate the planning process and unlock development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Managing planning applications and appeals across a range of development sectors
- Preparing planning statements, appraisal reports, and supporting documentation
- Undertaking site assessments and development feasibility studies
- Advising clients on planning opportunities, constraints, and development strategies
- Liaising with Planning Authorities, consultees, and stakeholders throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland
- Attending client meetings, site visits, and planning consultations
- Supporting project delivery across residential, commercial, renewable energy, and strategic development schemes
- Contributing to business development and client relationship management
- Degree in Town Planning or related discipline
- MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership
- Experience with in a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority environment
- Strong understanding of the planning systems in Northern Ireland and/or Ireland
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
