The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join a high-performing Sixth Form setting from September 2026. This is a permanent or fixed-term opportunity within a well-established Social Sciences department, teaching Year 12 and Year 13 students.
The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, confident teaching at A Level, and committed to delivering high standards of academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons at Key Stage 5
- Prepare students effectively for A Level examinations
- Monitor, assess and track student progress in line with departmental expectations
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support academic development
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Social Sciences department
- Support students with university applications and future pathways where appropriate
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic engagement
- Follow safeguarding, assessment and school policies at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
- Experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of A Level specifications
- Ability to motivate and challenge high-attaining students
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
