Scale BS18-BS21 (£26,452 - £28,707 pro rata)
Fractionalised posts are paid in equal amounts over 12 months, and the appropriate element of holiday pay will be incorporated into the calculation.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: Term Time Only - approximately 9 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Qualifications: Hold a minimum Level 1 Coaching qualification
Ideally hold Level 2 Coaching qualification
Ideally hold a valid First Aid Certificate
Experience: Experience of coaching, and Knowledge of the sporting environment in which the academies operate would be an advantage.
Details: The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with young people and ideally players U19. You will be required to maintain accurate records and produce reports as well as complying with health and safety procedures/policies.
You will be part of the Sports Academies Team, leading in a variety of sports and physical activities which includes, netball, football, rugby and a multi-sport girls academy.
As part of the role, you will be required to transport learners to off-site sporting events at various locations using college-provided and approved vehicles.
Working pattern based on current fixtures:
Monday 9am-12pm, Wednesday (home games) 12pm-3pm and Friday 9am-12pm (away game) timings would vary for away games
Applicants with Welsh language verbal communication skills at intermediate/advanced/fluent level are particularly welcome.

All Further Education Lecturers, Further Education Support Workers and Work-based Learning Practitioners in Wales are required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), prior to commencing employment. This is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £45 for Further Education Lecturers and Work-based Learning Practitioners and £15 for Further Education Support Workers.
