Level Teaching Assistant; HLTA

Salary Grade F Points 14 to 19 (£29,540 to £32,061 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £21,505.84.

Lower Fields Primary Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA to join the academy in September 2026 on a part‑time, temporary basis.

As a HLTA, you will complement teachers’ delivery of the curriculum, contribute to the development of other support staff, and support pupils and academy policies and strategies. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist them throughout the planning cycle, manage and prepare resources, supervise whole classes during temporary teacher absences, and support pupil welfare and inclusion.

• Assist teachers in planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes.
• Support pupils to become independent learners and raise standards of achievement.
• Supervise whole classes during temporary teacher absences.
• Provide support to pupils, teachers and the academy for pupil welfare and inclusion.

The academy is a 3 to 11 primary school situated on the outskirts of Bradford serving a culturally diverse population, offering a high quality education and a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities.
