Teaching Assistant

Any CV's submitted on Total Jobs will not be considered. The Governors are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant with the main responsibilities:
Support for the Teacher:
Prepare and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment as directed by the teacher and assist with the display of pupils work. Assist in the general care of the school environment by keeping the classroom and shared spaces tidy and in good order. Assist in the preparation of class activities, through joint planning with teachers and to organise the availability and care of the classroom equipment and resources necessary for such activities.

Use strategies, as directed by the teacher and external agencies (e.g. Early Years Intervention Team) to support pupils to achieve learning goals. With the guidance of the teacher, monitor pupils responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed, including contributing to the childs portfolio. Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils achievement, progress, problems etc. Administer routine tests, and invigilate exams and undertake routine marking of pupils work with guidance from the teacher and/or senior leaders.

Provide clerical/admin. support e.g. photocopying, mounting artwork etc. Carry out other reasonable tasks as specified by the class teacher or senior leaders.
