Full Academic Year Revised Recruitment Group is recruiting a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join the team at a Special School in Cardiff. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the entire academic year, supporting children and young people aged 319 with a range of additional learning needs in a highly inclusive and nurturing environment. The school specialises in supporting pupils with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs.
The Role Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN). Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and personal development. Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team. Help deliver engaging, personalised learning activities. Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. We're Looking For Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, care or support settings.
A calm, patient and empathetic approach. Confidence supporting pupils with additional learning needs or a willingness to learn. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or eligibility to register.
