At Hollybank School, we're looking for a Day Time Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with complex physical and learning disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and fun environment.

The role focuses on supporting pupils' wellbeing, personal care, nutrition and independence throughout the school day.

No two days are ever the same. You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, providing practical and emotional support while helping our pupils build confidence, develop life skills and enjoy their school experience.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting children and young people throughout the school day
  • Assisting with eating, drinking and meeting individual nutritional needs
  • Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion
  • Encouraging independence, communication and social development
  • Following care plans and specialist guidance to support pupils' wellbeing
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals
  • Helping to create a positive, safe and engaging environment for every child

Previous experience supporting children or young people is welcome but not essential. What matters most is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship to work in the UK.

Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment & Selection policy.

We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS, however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
