About the jobThis post will holistically plan, and support from interview stage through to completion of the programme. You will be providing high quality training and assessment for trainees based in the early years education sector. Your knowledge and experience will be shared with trainees to ensure they achieve Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
Job Responsibilities- Complete termly skills reviews with trainees and identify skills and knowledge gaps against the EYITT curriculum themes
- Complete visits in accordance with the programme requirements completing observations in workplace and placement settings, liaising with mentors and lead trainers
- Maintain records relevant to individual trainees
- Support the delivery of high-quality curriculum mastery to meet the Teacher Standards (Early Years), as appropriate to the trainees’ requirements
- Assess and feedback to learners using the portfolio system (Mosaic)
- Develop individual action plans tailored to trainees needs
- Support the delivery of training using approved training resources to cover curriculum themes
- Provide tutorial support including key training for the trainees (and employer around Prevent and British values), personal development, behaviour, and welfare, safeguarding and any additional learning support requirements
- Monitor trainees progress and provide support in completion of evidence and uploading on to Mosaic. Ensuring other evidence is completed in a timely manner, setting targets to ensure timely completion
- Detailing, monitoring, recording and reporting of ALS
- Supply information to employees and employers to support ITT programmes
- Liaise with Line Manager’s to facilitate reviews and appraisals
- Provide appropriate data and information regarding the programme and trainees as required and contribute to the regular self-evaluation monitoring process
- Review the teaching file and learning sequences on each visit, and provide feedback on work submitted
- Provide mental health and wellbeing support to trainees
- Ensure that any necessary placements are arranged and attended, giving suggestions for schools/settings if required. The Best Practice Network placement co-ordinator can also advise
- Complete all relevant documentation in order to progress the signing up and recording of new trainees on the programme
